Can Sketch Up Pro 2017 and 2018 Co-Exist on the Same System?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes. Each version installs separately.

If you have SU2017 installed, you can install SU2018 Pro. It’ll behave as an entirely new program so you’ll need to set up toolbars and install any extensions you might want to use. Don’t copy extensions from an older version to the newer version, though. Install fresh from the sources.

By the way, your profile says you are using 2018 Make which does not exist. Please correct it since the correct information can be useful when helping you solve problems. Please also add the specific Nvidia card because that is also important.

Thank you for the prompt response! You rock

Thank you!

Yes, and it is one of the truly lovely sides about SketchUp! You can pick up the new version and see what’s changed when you have the time and energy to do so, not in the middle of the night 2 days before a major deadline when an update is silently forced upon you, as is sadly the case with some software. You are also able to use an old version if the new one breaks your workflow, like how SketchUp 2018’s new rendering pipeline can’t be used for point clouds as it’s optimized for other types of geometry.
