Can not delet face in side of boundary?

I want to delete face inside of boundary as marked. Can I not select the face?

Select the whole thing, right click and choose Intersect Faces>With Selection. You’ll see the edges bounding the hole go to thin normal edges. Then select the face inside and hit Delete.
