Bug splat at startup. Need help PLEASE!

This is the message I get on my bug splat:

======= Starting GL ========

CBaseGLView::OnInitialUpdate
InitializeOpenGL
GetActivePixelFormat
Got PF= 153 from registry
IsValidPixelFormatInfo
requestedpf.accel=1
ARB functions NOT available.
nPfds=342
Pixel format 6 does not do a swap copy.

Can anyone help me correct this issue please???!!!

do you have Vray installed?

the message seems familiar…

john

NO, Vray is not installed

here’s another thread for the same error message CLICK HERE

John,
That does seem like the same issue and its not giving a solution.

My graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800

on on a mac so of limited help, but I think it implies you need to make sure SU is using the NVIDA card and the drivers are appropriate…

search threads for ‘NVIDIA Quadro’ maybe…

john

John,

I am using the most recent driver. Seems when using remote desktop to connect to the system, it gives a bugsplat. When using IntelliAdmin, I have no issues. What could be causing that?

I still need help!!! Can someone please help me???

[quote=“Virtualized Environments”]At this time, SketchUp doesn’t support operation in a virtualized environments such as VMWare or Citrix.

I don’t think OpenGL supports all remote desktops. I have tested some OpenGL-using applications remotely that ran on a virtual machine using Nvidia Grid technology and Citrix Receiver . they worked OK.

Im using a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 video driver.

So am I, at work, but I only use my computer directly, no remote control software is involved. No problems with SketchUp, Archicad or Solibri.

I wonder if these discussions are relevant to your question:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/c8295ef8-3711-4576-9293-2c4965280165/opengl-and-remote-desktop?forum=winserverTS
https://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/showthread.php/183281-Remote-Desktop-works-if-GL-Application-was-started-on-machine-first-how-to-init
These ( a bit old) threads state that Remote desktop only supports OpenGL 1.1 remotely - you might have better luck starting SketchUp locally before going home, and then connecting remotely when the app is already open.

Still getting bugsplats using remote desktop. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work?

I got it, I just uninstalled the video driver and its working great just using the 16bit driver and with remote desktop.

there is not 16-Bit driver with recent operating systems.
