yep. it’s a known bug. no real solution here. besides yelling in a pillow.

This is a really very frustrating bug if it’s the same or similar to what I’m experiencing.
But your profile says you are using version 2023 and the bug that is known by the SketchUp team is apparent in the latest 2026.2
It’s not really a workaround for me but when I have the text inspector closed the issue does not happen.
