LayOut Bug: Selecting Multiple Text Frames Changes Their Text Color

Since the latest LayOut update, I have encountered a bug where selecting multiple text frames causes the text color of all selected frames to change to the same color, even if they were originally different. This issue did not occur in previous versions and is disrupting my workflow.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create multiple text frames, each with a different text color.

  2. Select all the text frames at once.

  3. Observe that the text color of all selected frames changes to a single color automatically.

System Details:

  • LayOut version: Version 26.2.243 64-bit

  • Operating system: Windows 11

Expected Behavior:
Selecting multiple text frames should not automatically unify their text color unless a new color is explicitly applied.

Actual Behavior:
Text color changes to a single color upon selection.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround or an official fix in progress?

ooooh yes.

close the text panel. it helps. other than that no, nothing yet, we hop it’ll be in the next update / release…

Closing text panel helps indeed. Thanks!

But it’s a real pain in the back side!

Learned about this issue the hard way :grimacing: – after we had already sent PDFs to the reprographics shop for prints . This is really unacceptable – hope this is fixed ASAP.
