I don’t know if this is a Feature request or asking where I can find something that is already there.
Does Layout have a Bill of Material feature?
I think it’d be great if I could include one on a drawing showing how many ceramic tiles or any other “component” that is included in my SketchUp model.

This would not be done directly in LayOut. There are a variety of options for generating reports from your SketchUp model including the native Generate Report. You can save out a file that can then be inserted into LayOut. For furniture and other woodworking projects I use the CutList extension which gives me a list of the components with their dimensions. It creates a .csv file which I open in a spreadsheet app to massage and rearrange. Then I insert the resulting .xlsx file into LayOut.
