Best way to model a complex shape

Hello all, I need to model and print a gear door for this rc aircraft wing. It curves in all directions so I was wondering how to go about it.

I was thinking draw the basic shape then soap bubble and sandbox to get the curves and vector push pull to get some thickness?

Thanks

Clive

It looks like it is just two curves, so a profile down the line of the aircraft, then a circle across to give you a follow me path.

What information have you got about the shape of the surrounding surface? Dimensions?

I agree with @Box that a corss section of the surface and Follow Me around a circle or part of it might be the way to go. Trim the extrusion to fit the opening afterward. I made a quick example. Used the Intersection tool to create the final part. Didn’t really need to be a fully round object with Follow Me but it doesn’t matter either way.
