I was foraging through some older stuff and came across this tute. It is to some extent superseded by the lofting plugins, notably Fredo6’s Curviloft.

A good example of the power of SketchUp’s native tools. One question, though: Since the guitar is symmetrical side-to-side, why not model just half, then copy and flip?

David, if you’ll notice, that’s exactly what I did creating the actual faces–see the last two frames of the tute.
I constructed the original lateral arcs to go all the way across to make sure that the two halves are indeed symmetrical and smoothly tangent across the centerplane.
