No matter how I set up the text font types in the Model setting, SketchUp reverts to Architect’s Daughter. How do I get rid of it?
Do you mean when you start a new file she is lurking again?
Your profile says you are using SketchUp 20 on High Sierra. Is that still correct?
Yes, that is my configuration. On every new model, I set up my Text, Leader, and Dimensions settings and immediately Save the model. When I go to use any of those functions, it reverts to the dreaded Archie’s Daughter at the smallest font size.
And with every action I take, SketchUp’s SAVE prompt pops up. When that happens, SketchUp freezes until I hit the Save prompt and wait until the “saved” prompt shows. ARGH!!!
So you aren’t using SketchUp for Web.
Have you created a template with that font as the default?
I’m so sorry. I was on the wrong computer when I typed that. I am using SketchUp for Web on a MacBook Pro Processor: 2.3GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655MB, Memory: 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3

So with the web version we’re currently stuck with Architect’s Daughter as the font for labels and dimensions as the default. The option is to select all of the text after you’ve placed it and change the font to what you want.
SketchUp for Web Free Version is the only software I have ever used in which each time I use it, something it used to do is no longer available. Trimble should simply make it so that you pay $5 each time you want to use it. I’d go ahead and pay for an annual subscription but I’m afraid that each year you have to pay a higher amount to keep what you have but they would still take features away unless you purchase the next higher version. Adobe used to play that game with its software.
They do make changes to the web version periodically.
They don’t do that.
