can anyone explain or/and forward this to sketchup team for upgrade.
If you from whatever reason forget or dont want to work on the component - why you cant choose and mark multiple objects and use push pull tool for all of them??? you have to do that one by one by pushing it 30 times one after another!
i cant find any reason why its not proper with geometry etc. Anyone can do that? The same additional question - why if you wish to move in the same place more than one same objects you can not with move tool double click it and repeat that move???
First off, this doesn’t look like a bug, it’s just the way SU works.
If you want to repeat the same push pull operation, there are workarounds. For example, you may be able to select all the faces you want to move and then use the Move tool instead of Push/Pull. Or you can PP the first and then double click on each other. It’s not doing it in one go but it does speed it up.
It’s true that it would be useful sometimes to just hit a button to repeat the previous task. Other software allows you to do that. I think that is probably what you are getting at.
Fredo’s Joint Push Pull plugin can operate on multiple pre-selected surfaces.
But since you have to click once to select each surface (or in some cases can window select round them) it’s not always quicker than repeated double clicks with the native PushPull tool to repeat the same offset.
And the Move tool remembers your last moved distance, and will want to stop at the same distance for the next move.
Additionally, if you have made the move in an array many times, you can perform a future move/copy entirely with those existing object reference points. Helps a ton and I hope that is what you are looking for.
A joint push/pull would be awesome as a native feature I agree.
One thing to note, if something like multiple face push pull appeared as a built in feature in SketchUp, it would only be added to the current version. SketchUp Make 2017 is not going to see any more updates.
