Any chance of Emissive materials being added in Sketchup 2025?

Recently re-subscribed for Sketchup and am getting back into the new features. Loving the addition of PBR with Photorealistic materials.

Just wondering if emissive materials will be a thing in the future with this? Not sure if it’s possible. I only ask because with how I use Sketchup, with all the PBR and ambient occlusion and shading turned on, areas of my models that should be “emitting light” or now overcast by shadows. For example:

All the “yellow” bits in this would be glowing. It’s not as noticeable when using the standard materials, so I can get away with them not being emissive:

But I really love using the Photorealistic materials because I now no longer need something like Vray or Enscape for what I want to use it for. Just having an option to make these materials appear brighter with Photorealistic materials turned on would be cool!

It certainly would be a great addition to the program but only Trimble employees know the roadmap of the software development and by some reason they keep it secret until it’s official release, so it may or may not be under development, just time will say. Anyways, sketchup rendering capabilities are still far from other softwares like V-Ray or Enscape, it’s still a great feature and I love it, but some people like me, still have to use other engines to achieve more realistic results.

@StudioSKP will be able to not tell you anything with more authority than I can not tell you.
