Am not able to import my autocad file into sketchup can anyone help
Have you tried File > Import? What error did it appear? What version of DWG file do you have? How big is the dwg file?
… and the answers to the other questions are …?
M not able to understand what u r saying
File size is 136 KB
You answered me somewhat to the first two questions, but not to the other two.
- What version of DWG file do you have?
- How big is the dwg file?
You gave me an example another discussion, did you read it all? Did you apply the solution they found there?
Did you save down the file… to dwg 2000, maybe?
Actually I don’t know much about this… because am new to this software…
Am using autocad 2018… file size I have saved in to ways… 1. Autocad file which is 136kb 2. I have saved while creating blocks which size is 51 kb…
And I read it but not able to catch… didn’t understand what they did n how they got the solution
Open the DWG file in Autocad and File > Save as and choose File type as dwg 2000.
or
Ok… let me do than get back to you… just a min plz
Done… Saved in 2000 dwg
Well … now import that dwg file into SketchUp, it should work.
If it doesn’t work, post your DWG here. SketchUp 2018 cannot import AutoCad 2018 DWG files, but version 2013 or older should work. It can also fail if the file has objects that have been created with AutoCad add-ons (like AutoCad Architecture or Civil3D).
It’s done… thankyou so much…
Got the solution thankyou
