Hello,
I’m new to Sketch up and I’m trying to add a kitchen sink to my countertop.
I can’t get the countertop out of the sink.
If I try to use Intersect Faces - with model it deletes the entire worktop.
I looked through many tutorials, tried creating a new countertop outside the model and adding a sink, but none of the options worked.
I would appreciate if someone could help me to solve this in a simple way.

If you want to cut a sink ‘component’ into a worktop ‘component’ you need to be in the correct context to use Intersect Faces with…
See how I open the worktop component and then work with the top face. By using the the option to hide rest of model you can see what you are doing but the intersect still works with the hidden geometry.
