Adding Graphic When Condition is Met

Does anyone know if you can show a graphic if a Dynamic Component attribute meets a specific value? Lets say if you have floor joist that can be scaled to any length BUT at every X inches a graphic (such as a red X or circle) can be placed at X distance.

Make the graphic a component and then copy it as the length increases. Look at the dynamic fence component in the shipped Dynamic Components Training collection. Note how the pickets are duplicated based on the length of the fence.

Thanks @DaveR I did read that and it “works” but I was hoping to have a graphic - not a physical model element. I will work with it for now.

Good luck with it.

do you mean text? Can you post an example?
I thought a graphic is a model element

Make a PNG with transparent background?
Import into model.
Scale to proper size.
Make this a component so SKP knows what it is, how large it is (even if it is ‘flat’)
Integrate it into your dynamic component?

If you just want text… maybe look at some of the Medeek extensions or Curic to see how they are generating text geometry at specific places within their plugins - but then you are likely out of it being a component and you’ll need to write a plugin.
