About the Profiles in edit of styles tray

Hello there, Could i know the reason why only some of lines get thicker when i change the number of the checkbox next to profiles in edit of styles tray?

i’m using the tool in Window OS.

It only afects Profile edges, not all edges. Edges are displayed as profile edges when there is only one visible face attached to the edge. It is not meant to make all edges heavier.

You can see how only the edges with a single visble face show the profiles when you orbit around in a 3D model.

Reinforcing what @DaveR wrote, consider the outer vertical edges of this cylinder when profiles are on vs off. Only one face attaching to them is visible, so they get profile weight.

A little more on profiles. If your face style is set to Hidden Line, profiles are generally important to use even if there are softened or curved surfaces.

Profiles off.

Profiles on.

Note that having profiles turned on requires more from the graphics card because it has to figured out which edges should be displayed as profile edges and which shouldn’t.
