This is just a possible feature that i thought of that could come in handy with the materials window, a search bar so you can find what your looking for there, for example type in yellow and it will show you all the different yellows available.

Mitchelldkirk has not been on the forum for 6 years now, so he might not respond. But I’m intrigued, your sketchucation page does not list OS compatibility. Does your extension run on Mac and windows? Can it list materials by name?
Yes, it’s compatible with Windows and should be with macOS. And yes, it can list materials by name.
It’s been so long I forgot this even existed till it popped up in my e-mail notifications. I also haven’t been using sketch up for a while until recently.
I just tried it on macOS Catalina in SketchUp 2021, and it appeared to run ok.

Since I’m developing on a Windows computer and I don’t have a Mac, I was not sure 
I’m liking this, nice to finally see material names on a Mac. I wish I could filter materials, I would like to limit display to only in model material. Right now it seems to list all available default materials all the time, unless I’m missing something? Looks like in model materials are kept at the top, that helps.

I too noticed that it appears to list all materials from all collections. It’s too long a list; scrolling to find things is tedious.

I think it’s a good idea to have a source filter for materials I will work on this.
Indeed, materials are sorted by source in this order: active model, SKM collections, Texture Haven and CC0 Textures.

Adding a button to limit the display to in model only would be swell. I used your extension a bit while working today and enjoyed it, very handy. Thanks.

I will maybe implement a folder view in near future to reduce “too long” material list.
In meanwhile, one can use search field.
Since 1.0.3 version, it’s possible to display only model materials and one can filter materials by type too.
