Just for fun, I tried just now to see what I could make in just a few mins out of just one sphere component. When you scale and stretch, it’s surprisingly versatile. I wonder what kind of building one could make from the same method of using just a cube?
I mean, stretch a cube, it’ll give you a post, a beam, a slab, a wall, so… really, a lot.
here are 43 stretched cubes and 10min of my life spent on something both silly and fun
Nice! Love both the simplicity and power of just one object, and two tools…scale and move/copy. That sums up most of my days spent working in SketchUp:
“(Endless) mins of my life spent on something both silly and fun (and sometimes useful!)”
I often use this “stacking boxes” approach with a basic set of cubes, cylinders and prisms. You never run out of Legos like I often did more than 60 years ago.
