Is there a clever way to export or convert a .SKP file to .3DS?
I’m just playing around with sketch up for fun (non commercial) and not quite ready to subscribe to a paid version.

From SketchUp Free (web) > Export > STL
In Meshlab > File > Import mesh… > STL, then File > Export mesh as… > 3ds
