Hello,

I think 3D Warehouse experimented with nested-collections many years ago. They seem to have reverted back to single-collection-only after just a few days. Because I have collections that are specifically intended to be sub-collections.
I’m confused, it still works, not for you ?
just go to any collection, yours or not, and at the top, you can add it to an existing collection.
seeing a collection containing sub collections is fairly normal isn’t it ?
that’s even how the official content works, you have a pair of collections, and if you click on either, you find the sub collections.
Is that what you’re talking about? I assumed you meant the thing where when you hover over a collection you get more menus of collections.
I think I get your question.
on my (private) interface, I see my 4 collections. but Lego, the third, is a subcollection of A suivre, the fourth.
If I understand your question right, you’re asking if there is a way to hide lego from my interface
It’s a bit like the way tags work, you have tags inside tag folders inside tag folders, yet when you check the tag toolbar, they are all here, regardless of their folders.
if that’s your issue, then yeah, no, it’s “normal”. your (private) interface will show you all your collections, private or public, no matter how nested they are.
same goes for your public interface too. here is mine (using a private window), you can see both lego and a suivre even though lego is supposed to be nested inside the other one.
@TheGuz there might be something there to discuss, a way for non-brand users to still manage their content with nested collections that respect the nesting system.
Hello
Merci for following up on this.
Yes nesting a collection is no problem. My issue is with hiding the nested collections from the main overview of the collection.. This is important for us as fabricants to make it easy for users to navigate many products types.
