3D Text Font Library Empty

Anyone know how I can get access to more than the Tahoma font in 3D text? When I click “fonts” it opens up another window, but nothing is in it

An architect friend of mine was helping me edit a SketchUp file and added some 3D text in a font I really liked. I always assumed there was only one font option, but he said you should be able to use any you want that are on your computer. I saw some other forum posts on the matter, but they were pretty dated and it didn’t look like a solution had been created at the time.

whoah that’s super weird after messing with it for 15 minutes I made this post. When I went back to SketchUp a ton of fonts magically appeared in the window

SketchUp uses the fonts installed on your system. It doesn’t come with any fonts of it’s own. There is no “3D Text font library” as such.

Yeah, that’s what I had gathered from the other forum posts, but for some reason whatever was on my computer wasn’t connecting to SketchUp at first. I don’t know what changed, but it’s working now
