How come the default text in a new 3D text window “Enter text” isn’t automatically selected anymore? That used to be a thing in the previous version.
Sure, I can do ctrl+a but it was already implemented so I just don’t get why remove this little quality of life feature.
In the version of Sketchup you are using (according to your forum profile) the text is preselected.
In a version 2023 - where they started to use QT - I noticed this and already reported by someone else it in forum.
SU devs. did not noticed or consider it as a high importance to deal with it so it is there in 2024 too.

I use text input very often and the change from pervious versions with the text preselected catches me up quite a lot.
The trick is in the indefinite article.
He said: …in an upcoming release.
Not: …in the upcoming release.
