Let’s hope this is an oversight. I wonder if it’s about gambling/competition law. As there are “prizes” involved perhaps the are some rules about running competitions that don’t translate across borders?
AFAIK it is somewhat harmonized across the EU but the rules are somewhat tighter in Sweden or Finland where, for instance, casinos are a state monopoly. Many EU countries like Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Portugal are excluded from the list. Of countries that used to be parts of Yugoslavia Slovenia and Serbia are included while Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia are not…
Thanks everyone for your feedback/concerns and interest in participating. The advice I received from our legal team was that many countries have restrictions such as fees, etc that make it not impossible, but not feasible for us to include everyone for this competition. I will double check the EU requirements/restrictions with the hope to add eligible countries and update here as soon as I can. BTW - the restrictions/fees mentioned have to do with the monetary prize.

You are right Box, that’s confusing and contradicts the ‘fine print’. I think as the guidelines from legal came down, we didn’t get the details clear across the different teams. This looks like early copy that wasn’t caught/ updated. We’ll work on that.
Unfortunately, as anyone who has participated in competitions probably knows, global participation gets really, really sticky, definitely a bummer. Hopefully, this doesn’t discourage the excitement, still looking forward to the creativity and imagination from this community.

*Update: After re-reviewing eligibility requirements with our legal team, they said we can expand the number of participating countries. Please see the list updated on our terms and conditions page.
I want to say thanks for bringing this to our attention again and for your patience with us if your country is not included at this time. We do want as many submissions as possible but different countries have different regulations/restrictions to allow for participation in competitions where prizes of monetary value are awarded.
As always, we value our SketchUp community and will look for future opportunities to include more of your hard work and great ideas in future competitions and exhibitions.
Unfortunately Brazil, the country with the second highest number of SketchUp users, is also not on the list of participating countries… 
So… good luck to all (countries) that may participate!

Yes The Netherlands are on the list and interestingly Ireland is on it twice, i guess that’s to be sure to be sure.

It’s really quite annoying to get another email this time reminding me that I only have 3 weeks to enter the competition I am excluded from.
You could always change your location to Ireland … then you get a shot with 2 entries

Ha ha, nice ideas gentlemen, but I just like to poke the bear. Marketing needs to think things through better. After all, they did brand it ‘3D for all’.
Even though applications were not open to people residing in Brazil, I was inspired by the fun theme and made my model anyway.
To people that did apply, have you recieved any confirmation email back?
I uploaded everything on time, but havent recieved any confirmation was the upload sucesfull so I am a bit stressing now that the it didnt went trough and that everything was for nothing
