Per the title, when I am in a scene that shows the environment and I want to edit a group or component I tend to work in Hide rest of model mode. I was expecting the Environment to be hidden as well, is that an option I am overlooking?
There doesnât appear to be a way to to turn off the environment while editing a group/component. Environments act like sky or ground, which also donât turn off when editing a group/component.
The only way to turn off the environment (while keeping the lighting/reflections) is to untick âUse Environment as Skydomeâ
I guess what youâre asking could be a feature request - to add another section in the âComponent/Group Editingâ Model Info area. Fade/Hide Environment or something.
Thank you, I thought that would be the case, but was hoping I was wrong.
In Environments, in model, you can set the environment to âno environmentâ, and set it back to the one you want afterwards.
I will pass on the request to have the environment be suppressed when hide rest of model is being used, and youâre inside a group or component.
Thank you @colin , such a change would be very welcome!
I did log a feature request in our system. The internal number is SKOR-20245.
