2020 Library/Application Support

Recently downloaded 2020Pro and it’s not showing up in Library/Application Support/Sketchup, as 2018 & 2019 are. Thoughts?

I assume you installed 2020 as well. The 2020 folder should be next to the others in that location. Try this, open 2020, go to Sketchup>preferences>files> see “Materials” and click on the far right icon that is next to that line, it looks like a folder. That should open the location in your finder.

Command click on the text at the top of the window that opens in finder to see the file pathway. Where is that folder?

What is it ? The application bundle itself ? It doesn’t get installed into Application Support.

If you are asking about the location for the user resource libraries, they are in the user library:

~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp

2020 uses a much different installation system than previous versions. You no longer drag the app into Applications . Did you mount the dmg and then double-click on the SketchUp icon it shows?

I think the reason is that you are looking in /Library and not ~/Library. The /Library path will only exist if you have installed an extension that puts its files into /Library instead of ~/Library.

I’ve been using 2020 for a couple of weeks. It’s only today when I decided to organize my Material files that when I went to -Library/Application Support that I noticed SketchUp 2020 was not showing although SketchUp 2013 onward is showing (which I can probably delete up through 2018.
In answer to Dan’s suggestion, the path in Finder says - Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Materials.
Okay. I’m good. Colin is correct; I was in the wrong Library. If I go to Library via Finder/Go, it’s there with recent templates I’ve done, etc.
Thanks all for your time and help.
