127.0.0.1 refused to connect

Trying to start SketchUp Pro 24.0.484 on a Windows 11 Pro system, which has been working fine for a long time …
Two Modes of Failure
1: Get the popup window for Signing in, click on Sign In, go through the process of entering username, password, and validation code, Chrome tab opens and displays " 127.0.0.1 refused to connect"
2: Get the popup window for Signing in, click on Sign In, and immediately Chrome tab opens and displays " 127.0.0.1 refused to connect".

Same behavior on two different windows systems. Initially encountered yesterday afternoon, 8/9/24, and continues this morning.

Help!!

Thats impossible. 127.0.0.1 is …your own computer. Its a loopback address. Your own computer blocked itself i guess.

127.0.0.1 is a “localhost” ip address that refers to your own computer. Has something changed in your network setup? Are you using a VPN?

Some networks interpret 127.0.0.1 as being Intranet, and so it fails. When it fails you could edit the URL to replace 127.0.0.1 with localhost, then press Enter. That might then work ok.

Thanks, guys …
Nothing has changed in network. I’m not using a VPN. I use BitDefender and have for several months without this issue. And I don’t see anything in it’s logs.

Colin: did you mean change http://127.0.0.1:53839/signout to http://localhost:53839/signout? If so, that didn’t work.

Yes, that is what I meant. That it says Sign Out suggests that it was working earlier, when you signed in.

Can you try your phone as a hotspot, and see if the signing out then works?
