Tried using Viewer App but when I do, I can’t close files after viewing. When viewing multiple files they just build up within the app until it crashes. When reopening, the same files attempt to load again, causing the app to crash again.
I use OSX Mavericks on an iMac.
Can anyone suggest a cause / solution?
Cheers…Scotty
I have the same problem. Any solutions?
You need to change the preference to reopen app windows on reload . It is not a internal SketchUp nor Viewer setting.
There is a topic here that explains in detail how to do this. It is by Tommy of the SKetchUp Team:

Heya Glynwinter,
Nice fix! This is actually a setting in OS X that you can turn off. Unfortunately, there’s an additional tweak you need to do even after disabling the feature.
Open System Preferences (Finder > Applications)
Click the General button
Check “Close windows when quitting an application” or UNcheck “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps.” It depends on which version of OS X you’re using that determines the name o…
Also check if you can use a Keyboard modifier key when you click an program icon, that will start the application without restoring app windows.
