Wrap picture around cylinder with holes does not work

If I make a cylinder, the wrap of a picture works fine. But if I first make a number of holes (windows of a tower) in the cylinder and then wrap it, the picture is very irregular and segmented.

I see that, too, due to the broken faces. But it’s easily fixed be positioning the texture on one face of the cylinder and using it to position the rest.

Or save cutting the holes until after the texture is applied.

Thanks for you quick answer. I tried your suggestion but it resulted in the same mesh. I solved the issue with Thru-Paint by Fredo 6.

Apparently you didn’t do what I wrote or it would have worked as I showed in my screen shot.

Good enough but it doesn’t require an extension.

You’re right. No need for Fredo. I misinterpreted your solution. Forgot Projection etc.
