Will Downloading Pro let me continue with the drawings I have started in google sketchup Free, or let me convert them easily?

I want to purchase sketchup pro, mainly for the benefit of producing prints in scale, but before I do I am wondering: Will Downloading Pro let me continue with the drawings I have started in google sketchup Free, or let me convert them easily? Or will I have to start all over?
Kind regards Thomas, Norway

It is not Google SketchUp.

It has been Trimble SketchUp since late in v8. There have been 3 more releases of Trimble SketchUp. v2013, v2014 and v2015.

There will never be any more updates to the old versions. So download the new v2015 Pro trial, and try it out. It can load old SKP file versions.

Always download direct from the Trimble SketchUp website:

Simple answer, yes.

Make (previously called Free) and Pro do have the same file format.
Pro comes with some extra SKP features (as ‘Solid’ tools, creating dynamic components) and download/save options (as DWG/DXF) and with additional programs: (as Layout, Stylebuilder).
But all *.skp files created in previous and current versions of SketchUp free and pro can be worked with. You can also save *.skp files as previous skp file formats to make them downwards compatible.

Yes, you can open older files with newer versions (no differene for free, make, pro).
