Why isn't there a text styles embedded menu on Mac like on PC?

I just changed over from PC to Mac and re-subscribed to Sketchup Pro and noticed in Layout that the Mac version does not have a text styles window as the PC version does. There’s a font option, but it occupies so much screen that I’m wondering what the Mac version programmers were thinking. There should be ubiquity across platforms so workflow isn’t impeded. Why the heck would they make the Mac version different?

Because they used the Mac-supplied Fonts window because the OS supplies it making it more like other Mac applications.
