Sometimes, when Sketchup 2022 crashes, restarting it, the positions of the toolbars change. I wanted to know if there is a file that stores the position of all bars.
nowhere.
when you properly quit SU, it remembers the position of panels, trays, toolbars…
You problem is the crash. Because it crashed, it didn’t quit properly, therefore, it’s not keeping track of your interface.
solution ? open sketchup, make your interface as you need, and properly quit. or… don’t crash. But that’s usually out of our hands
You’re right, it shouldn’t crash but sometimes it does. But somewhere it will have to save the position of the toolbars. Otherwise how does it restart with the right positions of the bars? There was once a file that does not exist in version 2022. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 20XX\SketchUp.ini
It may be that you need to repair the installation so Windows will give SketchUp permissions to write the toolbar locations to the correct location. (There hasn’t been a .ini file in User/AppData/…/SketchUp at least going back to 2017.)
