you’re asking infos about a software released nearly 10 years ago. I’m asking a valid question.
no need to go on the defensive like that.
and yeah, I’m asking if you googled it.
I did, and got so many different answers as to what a SHA256 can be used for that I still don’t know why you need it. it’s an actual question, not a rhetorical one.
but you don’t see me getting all worked up about it.
2 of the accounts you pinged havent been around this forum for 2-3 years now. and a third for the past 8 month.
In that previous case I was able to download the installer from our server, and gave the SHA256 I saw. I fear that I won’t be able to find a download for Make 2017 (17.2.2555), but if I find it I can do the same for that one.
It looks ok on Virustotal ( undetected by all AV engines, and valid signature),
however one of the VirusTotal sandboxes reports that it’s accessing the boot sector, which triggers the “Bootkit / Pre-OS Boot” classification. Is this normal behavior for a SU installer?
@sWilliams that is the same SHA I have @kevin58 thanks, the size matches mine. Did you guys download it from archive.org or the official sketchup site? (The one on archive is not from an archived version of the official site, but was uploaded by a spanish person with the username “NOBRUCA”)
So I guess this means that you don’t have any records of the SHA256 hashes? Everything was deleted in May 2022? I hoped that even though the download was removed, the hash might still exist internally or in archives.
We have documents that do list SHA256, but back when 2017 was done that was not recorded. I did find an internal link for the file, but that link fails to work. It is possible access was cut off in 2022.
I’m pretty sure sWilliams will have got the installer from us, and that the SHA256 he gave is the same as I would have given you.
