That indicates there isn’t a hot key by default. You can make one, though, in Preferences. That’s what I did because I use it all the time.

Thanks. Can anyone tell me why Paste in Place doesn’t have a hotkey?? Surely Paste in Place is one of the most useful functions!

Because of this, I’ve inverted @ViggoPaulman suggestion in my preferences … Ctrl + V → paste in place Ctrl + Shfit + V → paste

I use Alt+V easier to hit than 3 buttons. :wink:

on a mac, you can’t assign shortcuts with command, they are taken by apple. so if cmd+v is paste, can’t have cmd+shift+v for paste in place But as I do most of my classes on a pc, I have both ctrl and cmd muscle memory at the same time. so cmd V is paste, and I added ctrl v as paste in place.

Actually I just figured, you press option + command + V, it will do past in place.

On a Mac, if you would like to use the command key in a shortcut, you can setup keyboard shortcuts for applications via System Settings. There you can achieve a command-shift-V shortcut which will work as intended in Sketchup. Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts Add the Sketchup application to the list…

Is that new? I always used to make custom key combinations that used command, and still have at least one that still does.
