Hi there. I’ve modeled quite a few things in SketchUp, for both 3D printing and woodworking. However, I’ve never quite figured out the best way to model an object that doesn’t have many straight or perfectly round edges—an organic shape. I’ve now been tasked with modeling a scooter cover, as the spare part is no longer available for purchase. I’m looking for a tutorial or a plugin that could make this task easier, as it seems extremely difficult to achieve using standard SketchUp tools. I’m still using SketchUp Make 2017, since it’s free and supports plugins. I’ve attached a few photos of the object I need to model. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I don’t have a scanner, so that option is off the table.
Kind regards, Peter
