Virtual Reality 3D

Hi, I have an issue with trying to set up a model to be used in Virtual Reality.

When the model is imported (as a GLB) into the Reality Converter Beta app on Mac. The model is there, however there is a pan&zoom issue. The model almost gets lost within the space and it is quite difficult to select the model to turn & zoom into it etc.

Is there a way to Anchor the model in a way for the model not to get lost within the space.
Is there a setting I need to add to remove the atmosphere/background space within the Sketchup file before exporting it as a USDZ or GLB file?
Any advice is much appreciated.

Can you post your skp file for someone to get a look at it?

I’ve just uploaded it

Try this file in Finder. It should manipulate ok. All I did was group your objects and move the bottom center of the group to the Origin, before exporting to USDZ.

This worked! Thanks Colin. How did you move the bottom centre of the group to the origin? Please do you mind sending over more details. Thanks

When you have the Move tool selected, and you point at the object, you can tap the Command key to cycle through sets of grips. One of those includes a grip in the center of the bottom of the object. I clicked on that and dragged it to the origin.

Is there any chance you could take some screenshots of what you did please? As It I am not sure what you mean by dragging the grip to the origin? Thanks

Here’s a screen recording. After choosing the Move tool I then tapped the Command key, until I saw the control point appear under the center of the object, and then moved it using that control point, to snap it to the Origin.
