I went to myaccount.trimble.com and clicked update to try to install v6.5 on my iPad. the wheel spun for a minute then stopped. No indication that any update installed. Opened SketchUp for iPad and tried to find out how to see which version I’m on but not seeing that capability anywhere. Guide me in.

Click on the house icon at the top left and then the button at the bottom left. You’ll get a page that looks like this:

If the version where Dave showed you is 6.5.1, that’s the latest version. If it’s something earlier, open this link on your iPad, and you will go to the App Store page, so you can update SketchUp:
The update is done from the App Store app, not from your Trimble account page.
