Using PaintBucket tool in SketchUp Make 2016

I’m new to sketchup and have been going through the tutorials. The third tutorial introduces the paint tool, and when I click on it, a paint bucket appears, but no means for selecting paint, textures, etc. Is there something I need to do to activate this tool?

Open the Tray with the Materials window? Look in the window Menu and make sure Materials is ticked on.

Have you used SketchUp with more than one display?

Maybe try Window>Preferences>Workspace>Reset Workspace.
