I’ve finished my binary glTF exporter so that it is compliant with the requirements for Paint 3D.
At the present time, Microsoft is not compliant with the glTF specification. (They are working on it).
Further more, it is immediately apparent that Paint 3D will not be suitable for painting exported SketchUp models…

Model in Sketchup:

Model in glTF viewer (WebGL)

Model in Paint3D:

I don’t understand the internals of Paint 3D enough to understand why it displays the pixelation causing the zombie-effect.

Well this is certainly an interesting post you have made. I thought from the original announcement, this was going to be one of the real “benefits” of the relationship. Now I am wondering, what the heck is the relationship supposed to be all about or what is the goal?

The purpose is obviously an attempt to make a common 3D format, but it will take time for support to build. In this case, Microsoft just announced support a few days ago.

The issues will hopefully be resolved with the Fall Creators Update, when Microsoft updates all its stock (inbox) apps.
