Unexpected file format, HDD, Recovery, Dropbox

Hi forum members,

I joined the forum today hoping 4 some help.

I had an issue with my external HDD and had to use a recovery software to obtain my files again. Now all my .skp files are in one folder with numbered names (but still .skp extension)

When I try to open the .skp I get the message: unexpected file format

Is there anyone that can help me?

Unfortunately, I also get an error when I try to open that file. Occasionally one of the Trimble SketchUp staff can repair a damaged file (depending on what is wrong with it). With luck, one of them may see this post and help you.
