I was able to open my SketchUp model earlier and was modeling just fine in SketchUp Pro 2023. But then I closed it, and after trying to reopen the file I received the “Unexpected file format” message. If I can get help recovering this file, that would be much appreciated! And any tips on preventing this or troubleshooting for next time may be helpful.
Probably just need to update to the last release of SketchUp 2023 or to SketchUp 2024. I opened your model with no problem in SU2024. Since you have a subscription you can update to SketchUp 2024 at no additional charge.
I notice incorrect tag usage. ALL edges and faces should be created and remain untagged. The result of fixing that:
