I am attempting to install Sketchup Make, having previously used the free trial on pro I thought installing this would be no different but when installing these errors appear. I have uninstalled all Visual C ++ programs and tried using the built-in installer with no luck. Then I tried using a direct install from Microsoft on several different versions. I’ve seen a few threads on this but I could not work out how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the error which appears.
There is a difference between Pro and Make. With Pro, if you don’t add a license, after 30 days it stops working. With Make, if you don’t add a license, after 30 days it becomes Make (the trial period Pro features stop working).
If by chance you installed Pro and not Make, and now want to have Make, you would need to follow the instructions. Use Add or Remove Programs to uninstall SketchUp Pro 2017, and then run the Sketchup Make 2017 installer.
