Hi
After buying a 3D printer I had one thing on my mind and that was printing some gears for my CCTV cameras so they would Pan & Tilt.
There wasn’t anything on Thingiverse so I had to design one myself.

This is what I was after and there is an extension called gear.3.rb which I zipped and renamed RBZ, but sketchup was unable to accept it.
So I’m without a gear extension unless anyone can come up with a suggestion as what to do now.
Thanks a lot.

What exactly do you mean by that? What did you do with the file after zipping it and renaming it to rbz?
The plugin works just fine if it is installed correctly.
As I said, I zipped the gear.3.rb and changed the format to rbz as you directed and then used Extension Manager in Sketchup to install it. But when I re-opened Sketchup it said it could not open gear.3
I don’t know why this happened.
Thanks a lot catamountain, so many gear extensions.
And all I had to do was ask.
Thank God for forums.
Cheers.

I did the exact same thing you said you did and it worked fine.
How did you zip the plugin file?
