This is probably more about me struggling with geometry, but how do I truncate the branch of this wye so that it is perpendicular with the angled pipe length and not cut at an angle. I found it on 3DW.
Also another issue is when I am moving items around my workspace, I struggle with getting them in position, they jump back or forward. Any tricks to control that placement.

First turn off the transparent materials, it makes it difficult to see whats going on. In a case like this where the end is random and you want to regain a perpendicular end, one fast method is to leverage the perpendicular (magenta) inference on any of the tube splines or facet edges. Start outside the tube context to make a cutting box that is perpendicular to one edge and face then move it inside the tube context (cut and paste in place) and intersect, erase the unwanted.

Thanks Riley! I wanted to upload that deck project you helped me on last fall but the file is too big. You’ll be happy to know that I have everything ordered nicely utilizing components / groups / tags and outliner. I made a set of drawings for the local planning board with LayOut too.

Another related problem. In trying to make a tapered cylinder, when I enter a specific radius or diameter, the result is not what I inputed. In this case trying to make the top circular face 10" diameter vs. the 12" bottom diameter.
Taper.skp (243.1 KB)
Click on the upper circle to select it.
If it is not already open, open the Entity Info window.
In the Radius field, replace 6" by 5" then press the Enter key to validate.

Thanks Jean. I see what I did wrong now.
