Hi guys. I imported a 3D model into 3ds format to work in another program. I have this question: my model doesn’t need any texture, but the program detects it as black color. How to get rid of this color? How to make it colorless? Or is it a peculiarity of 3ds format? Thanks
It is up to the other application to determine how it shows imported faces, but my guess is that the faces you are looking at have their normals reversed so the black you see is the “back” side of the faces. You should make sure in SketchUp before exporting that all visible faces show their front sides.
hello, you may want to try changing the color of the tag your model is on, its color may determine how it is going to be shown in another software.
the untagged “tag”, if I can say, is white by default, try changing it to another color (by the way the UI makes it quite unclear unless you create other tags - white square without outline above white background)
And what is the other software you’re importing you file in ?
Solution could be there and not in SU
