I’ve been using the Sketchup Free Version 2017 and I’m facing an issue when trying to align objects. I’ve followed the usual steps of selecting the objects, then using the Move tool while holding down the arrow key to constrain movement to a specific axis. However, whenever I try to do this, the objects seem to move erratically and don’t align properly as they used to.

Upload your model so we can see what you have going on, perhaps the object you are moving is set to glue to surface. Right click on it and see if unglue is available. There is no need to hold the arrow keys, they are toggles, hit it once to lock to a direction, hit it again to unlock that direction.
