Working with a very dense pointcloud, I tried reducing the density using the density slider in TSE. But the slider has no effect. value 0 and 100 results in the same density. Bug or am I missing some setting somewhere?
The density parameter adjusts the density of points when orbiting the cloud. The default value is 0, which means that fewer points are displayed during orbiting. Currently, there is no way to subsample the cloud in Scan Essentials.
Hi @maxB
There is currently no way to modify a point cloud inside Scan Essentials, every modification has to be done in another software. This is not the current purpose of Scan Essentials. Out of curiosity, why would you like to subsample the point cloud ?

If this feature would be possible, you could load one very high density pointcloud and set it to highest density when modelling smaller details (for instance beams, doorframes etc) and set it to a lower density when working on bigger elements (walls, ceiling etc).
