Trebuchet model

I enjoy the Sketchup live modeling and mentioned a couple times there that it would be fun to see a trebuchet modeled via the live stream. Someone said it would be quick and easy to do and I suppose that’s true, depending on your skills and the level of detail you’re after.

Either way, I took this on and thought I’d share it and ask for feedback from the community. What do you think of this model? It’s certainly not as intricate or difficult as some of the live modeling we see from our beloved Sketchup crew but I had fun doing it. Let me know what you think.

Also, I’m not sure of the correct way to share models from the 3D warehouse so please advise if I need to do it differently. Thanks.

Download a skp of your Trebuchet model, and then drag it into your forum post. When I clicked on your link, it just brought me to the SU log in page.

I did a trebuchet model about 4 years ago. I can’t remember for certain, but it might have been based on one that was done on a live stream. It differs in details from yours (e.g. I modeled the pegs that would be used for assembly/disassembly) but of course the basics are the same. I see looking at it now that I left out the sling!
