Hi everyone! I was looking for a plugin that would point to the center of an irregular face and I came across Center Point All by TIG and Face Centroid and Area Properties. I tried both of them on an incurved pentagon to find its center and this is what I got:
They produce different results. The one with the crossline is the Face Centroid and the Guide Point below is from Center Point. I don’t know which one to choose. Which one do you think is more reliable?
I think Centerpoint All is giving you the center of the bounding box not the centroid of the geometry
Oh now I see. Thanks for clarifying @DaveR. Any chance you know of other alternatives for Face Centroid? It would be good to have just the crosslines without the properties.
I don’t know of any others off the top of my head. Maybe TIG’s CofG would do it but I haven’t tried it.
