This does not appear to be a SketchUp model! - HELP

This morning when trying to open the file and unexpectedly, this error occurred.
I tried renaming the skb to access the backup copy as it would be little lost work, but the same error occurs.
Can someone please help me and try to recover the file?

I´ve read on other topics that maybe @colin can help

Hi @solopaisagismo thanks for the post. I took a quick look at the file and could not get it to open in the versions I have access to at the moment but you are correct that colin might be able to help. I don’t know if he is signed on at the moment and he is not in the office just yet this morning so you may have to wait a little while while.

In the meantime can you tell us any additional info about what you were doing when before the file corrupted? Also, if you have a .skb of the file posting that as well may help us too.

Finally, make sure that you are following best practices for saving and using the 3DWH as failing to do that are the top causes I see for corrupted files.

Judging by the ratio the file compresses, it is about 2/3 empty.

What usually happens with files like yours is that if I can recover anything, it’s only components and materials. Nothing will appear in the scene. It may be that you could rebuild the scene using the recovered components.

Here is your file recovered like that, with lots of components and materials, but nothing in the model scene.
