I have a SKP file saved on my desktop and when I go to open it, it says “This does not appear to be a Sketchup model

Which version of SketchUp are you using? You put 2021 Free Plan in your forum profile. Does that mean you are using a crack code?

Looks like the .skp file is mostly zeros. Nothing to recover. Do you have the .skb version to share?

Where have you been saving your SketchUp file as you were working on it?

I’m using pro 2021 sorry for my profile. I could not find skb . I’m saving it to the desktop

Please update your profile so it is correct. Putting incorrect information in your profile just makes it harder for us to help you.

If there’s no .skb file I guess you’re out of luck on this one. If the file was being saved to the desktop a .skb file should also have been created.

I can’t open a skp file. It shoes “This does not appear to be a sketchup model”. Pls help to recover it.

That appears to be random data from your drive. It doesn’t have anything in it that is a SketchUp model.
