Craig, the EW Terms of Use link is nearly hidden at the extreme bottom of the page. Perhaps add this link to your new popup menus so it is more discoverable?

Also, the link to the Trimble APIs Terms of Use (in older SketchUp About dialogs) is no longer valid. Ie …

EDIT: Oh, I think it is now this … ( fixed in at least SU24+ )
A link to this should also be in the new popups, IMO.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ve now added a link to the Terms of Service within the Extension Warehouse section.

The icon isn’t intuitive to me. The Modus ‘code’ or ‘user guide’ icons (or a variation?) might have got me clicking:

Could I confirm, do you mean the ‘?’ logo for the bot?

But, the EW User Guide is for the end users in general, not specifically developers.

I think I just (a few days ago) logged a request to add a prominent link to the EW User Guide to the page header.

Wow, that was fast! Thanx.

Link to this resource added to the extension warehouse section of the developer bot.

I will also mention this to the relevant people should we put an end user bot together too.

Many thanks Dan

Yes! I did get the email announcement so I knew what it was. But if I just stumbled on it without knowing I wouldn’t necessarily have clicked it (and I don’t go to the EW very often).

If the icon ‘read’ something like one of these (in the thought bubble):

… I would have clicked it if I happened on it.

I’ve also tried the “Summarize” button with the ‘stars’ for developer topics… if that’s the ‘AI’ icon in SketchUp icon lingo, maybe a variation of that could be used?

The bot (I don’t know the def of “bot” vs “AI”, but have a surface preference for “AI”) pop up looks like it overlaps with the Developer links at the bottom of the page.

The footer of the page with all those links are displayed on all SketchUp website pages, I think.

I am always amazed at the number of people who never look to the footers of webpages for knowledge links.

Perhaps refresh the page or clear the browser cache?

This should be available for people globally providing they are signed up to be a developer on Extension Warehouse. As mentioned in another reply, it could potentially be a cache issue if you are a developer and still aren’t seeing it.

Yes, the bot popup will sit over the top of the normal page.
Depending on your resolution and scroll position this may block some things until you close the bot.

Here it isn’t blocking anything

If I zoom to 150% it does cover some items whilst it is open

This is expected behaviour though.

Thanks. I was just comparing the content of the DKB (or “KC”) popup to the Developer section of the footer. My screenshots are of a narrower window than I normally use. So, no problem of the popup overlapping other elements ;^)!

This was announced in the developer announcements area, and an email sent to those that have signed up to be a developer at some point in the past.

Ah … I was wondering about this, whether only devs would see it. (I haven’t checked my email yet.)
